It was an eventful final week at the University of Waikato as I officially finished the semester!
Sorry if I'm getting lazy but I figured this would work better as a bulleted list.
Throughout the week I:
-Completed my final assignment – an MCOM media kit
-Was interviewed about my experiences at UoW for their website
-Went to Hamilton Lake and the epic playground nearby with Blake, Isaac, Olivia, and Lucia
-Walked to Duck Island Ice Cream and enjoyed a beautiful day outside with Liz, Katie, Maggie, and Dylan
-Saw adorable puppies on campus with Isabel
-Finished watching Legion with Izzy
-Scared Isabel and others during their Friday the 13th seance
-Played frisbee with Olivia/Allie/Reece/Phoenix/Ryan/Sourab/Misa
-Went to hell (pizza) with Chenay and Brian
-Had several DMCs with people I'll really miss
-Had a terrifying experience with Cori, Alex, Blake, and Sourab (lol if they're reading this)
-Ate a lot of fast food and chocolate & a deep fried moro bar (I'm obese)
-Did a workout class with Michaela and Ryan and killed my upper calves/knee pits
-Had a girls night/goodbye dinner with the OG spicy nut snacks Liz, Katie, Chenay, and Justice + Maggie, and Mollie at Mexico
-Got a teeny tiny tat by Tim
-Packed up my entire room & moved out
But most importantly:
I said goodbye to so many great and fun people who I might never see again. JK – you all have to visit me and I'll come back and visit you!
Blake drove Chenay and I to the Auckland airport to the tune of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and I cried. And just like that, my semester as an exchange student was in the rearview.
It's been a whirlwind of a semester. In typical gemini fashion I both loved and hated it. One thing's for sure – it was a life-changing, ideal-affirming, and eye-opening time. And I'll never forget it.
Up Next: STRAYAAAAAA! Vacation begins :P Huge shoutout to my fellow Sun Devil, Rachael, who lives in Melbourne with her bf (partner hahaha) and is letting Chenay and me crash with them for a few nights! I'm a bit behind on blogging so stay tuned next week for my Australian adventures!!!
